Ellenbrook Christian College celebrates childhood as a time of joy, discovery and spontaneous exploration. Innate curiosities and wonderings provide a stimulus for investigation and children are guided to build deep connections and understandings about their world, through a wide range of teacher and student directed activities.
Christian Education is the foundation of our Curriculum and underpins all teaching and learning within the school.
Ellenbrook Christian College teachers are committed to an interactive Early Childhood program which is based on the Early Years Learning Framework, the Western Australian Kindergarten Curriculum Guidelines and the Australian Curriculum.
The Early Childhood Curriculum at Ellenbrook Christian College equals all the interactions, experiences, activities, routines and events, planned and unplanned, that occur in an environment designed to foster children’s learning and development.
As an early learning student, your child will have the opportunity to learn social emotional literacy through:
- awareness of self and others
- emotional self-regulation
- problem solving
- decision making
- formulation of a more realistic positive sense of self
Resilience, assertiveness, creative brainstorming, decision making, relaxation, mindfulness are among the many skills Early Learning students at Ellenbrook Christian College have the opportunity to develop.
