Our Physical Education program encourages a "personal best" approach and genuine support for peers during regular Physical Education lessons. A holistic approach is taken in this learning area with students being assessed on their skills for physical activity; interpersonal and self-management skills and knowledge and understanding.
Physical Education Studies is also available to students in Years 11 and 12 who are assessed on tasks related to investigation, performance and response in a physical environment.
Inter-House Swimming and Athletics Carnivals are run throughout the year, which comprise of official competitive events as well as team challenges. The carnivals are designed to maximise participation, whilst providing opportunities for more skilled athletes to display their talents, and less experienced students to help with officiating duties and the cheer squad. Awards are presented for the top three girls and boys in each year group, as well as best dressed and loudest cheer squad.
Places at the Inter-School Swimming, Athletics and Cross Country events are based on the students' performance at Inter-House Carnivals and attendance at training.
The College also has teams which compete in after school AFL, Basketball, Netball and Soccer competitions against other schools and districts throughout the year.
