On Thursday 27 November, our Year 4 classes had an enjoyable day at Whiteman Park. We visited the ‘Revolutions Transport Museum’ where we heard heritage stories and had fun playing on the train, horse buggy and old bus from ‘yesteryear’. The park rangers talked to us about some of the native fauna and showed us a young bandicoot, possum and a bob tail lizard. It was a special experience to see and learn about these beautiful creatures. Also, we followed the clues to guide us to our ‘secret treasure’ in the Children’s Forest. The playground was a hit with the students, the weather held off and overall we had a wonderful day!
During Week 7 of this term the Year 4 classes made kites in class as part of Art, Design and Technology. The students had a great time making them and produced some colourful kites. On Monday 1 December we decided to make use of the nice summer’s breeze and went out to fly the kites. We had a lot of fun testing and flying our kites!
As part of the Year 4 students celebration of the wonderful year we had, we indulged in pieces of fruit and marshmallows covered in chocolate from a chocolate fountain. A delicious way to celebrate a successful year!
