It is often a daunting experience entering a new school. All your old friends and teachers are replaced with new ones that may or may not be as friendly. However, with enough effort from the community at Ellenbrook, new students can feel welcomed and fit in as though they had been here from the start.
One of Ellenbrook Christian College’s greatest strengths is in it’s ability to integrate new students into the community and this became evident at the lunch held for new students on June 30. The newest additions to our community remarked that they felt very comfortable since the start of the year and enjoyed the friendly attitude of all the students and staff. The lunch was topped off with a visit from the principal and an ice-cream for everyone as a final welcome into the community.
