Year Ten Work Experience

Found in: News

Students in year ten at Ellenbrook Christian College are required to undertake a week of work experience at the end of term two in week ten (Monday 30 June until Friday 4 July 2014). This week has always proved to be an inspiring and worthwhile experience, helping students to plan for their future career pathway and gain a valuable taste of working life.

Year ten parents have been sent a letter outlining the specifics of the work experience along with some forms that need to be completed and returned to the college. Students can use the myfuture web site to research career options, based on their individual strengths and skills. Parents are encouraged to support their child to find a placement that is linked, if possible to their future career aspirations.

The deadline for the return of all completed student work experience permission forms (Work Placement Check List and Work Experience Parent Consent Form) is Friday 20 June 2014. Students who do not submit forms by the due date will be unable to attend. Copies of these forms can be found by clicking on the links above.

Please contact Mrs Deborah-Lee Parker (Work Experience Coordinator) on deborahp@scea.wa.edu.au if you require further advice or guidance.
