Ellenbrook Christian College is committed to providing holistic, Christ-centred education to its community, with the vision of shaping graduates who are prepared to face the challenges of the modern world.
From the age of 3, children can be enrolled in our Pre-Kindergarten program and progress through the College and graduate as an ATAR or VET student, depending on the pathway they have chosen.
Developing a solid foundation for our students, is a key priority for the College and throughout 2020, strategies have been implemented to create the smooth transitioning between the Pre-Primary, into Year 1; reimagining the way the Early Learning Centre will function from 2021 and beyond.
From the beginning of 2021, the Ellenbrook Christian College, Early Learning Centre (ELC), will include classes from Pre-Kindy to Year 2. The ELC program will employ strategies and provide opportunities to fully prepare students as they move into Year 3 and then on towards Year 12.
In preparation for the coming changes in 2021, we are excited to introduce to our community, Mrs Joanna Horne, as the Dean of Early Learning: Pre-Kindy to Year 2. Mrs Horne will lead our talented team of Early Years teachers in the delivery of the exciting Early Learning program.
An infrastructure change planned for the 2020/2021 summer break, will see a change in the area separating the Early Learning Centre from the Year 1 and 2 classrooms. The bitumen roadway will be redeveloped to provide an area where students can explore, discover and learn. The new area will include open green spaces and a nature play space, that inspire learning through play and encourage collaboration between and among our youngest students.
